Welcome to St Chad's Church of England (VC) First School and Nursery.
At St Chad’s CE (VC) First School we believe that every member of our school community is unique, created in God’s image, and precious to Him. As a church school, our foundation for living and learning are the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. The message of God’s love for all and the Christian values of joy, peace, hope, wisdom, dignity and community are at the heart of school life at St Chad’s.
St Chad's Church of England (VC) First School and Nursery is an award winning, co-educational village school primarily serving the village of Pattingham and its surrounding area in South Staffordshire. The school provides an excellent academic education for each child, nurturing talents, encouraging interests and fostering a love of learning. The school, rated as excellent in the latest Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools (SIAMS) report 2023 and described as 'closer to outstanding than good' in OFSTED December 2021, aims to provide an education with the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. Excellent links are maintained with St Chad's Church, the village and the wider community. We consider ourselves to be one big family and welcome you to become a part of it.

Welcome from our Headteacher.
I would like to warmly welcome you to our lovely school and hope that you find the information you need on our website.
I am privileged to lead a wonderful team of professional, talented and committed staff. We are proud of our reputation for providing good quality education within a caring Christian environment, building on our core values. We consider ourselves to be ‘one big family’ working together for the benefit of the whole community providing a safe, happy and hardworking environment in which our pupils can thrive. We hope every child will develop a love of learning, embrace individuality and begin to prepare for their place in our global, technological advancing society.
I am mindful of the bible reference adapted from Proverbs 22:6 - Train up a child in the way they should go; even when they are old they will not depart from it. I am confident that the time spent at St. Chad’s will leave an indelible mark and that our vision ensures this.
Our children leave us ready for the next stage in their learning, independent learners, with a solid foundation, happy and confident, with aspirations and dreams.
I look forward to meeting you.
